The aperiodic monotile, also known as the “Einstein” tile was discovered in March 2023 by researchers David Smith, Joseph Samuel Myers, Craig S. Kaplan and Chaim Goodman-Strauss. It is the first known single tile shape (and its reflection) that can tile the plane aperiodically.
We chose a v-neck t-shirt type because the aperiodic tile resembles a v-neck shirt.
