Monotile in solid gold! The aperiodic monotile, also known as the “Einstein” tile was discovered in March 2023 by researchers David Smith, Joseph Samuel Myers, Craig S. Kaplan and Chaim Goodman-Strauss. It is the first known single tile shape (and its reflection) that can tile the plane aperiodically.
